Woman charged in breast milk assault on jailer
Sun Mar 7, 1:04 pm ET

OWENSBORO, Ky. – A woman in jail for public intoxication was accused of assaulting a jailer by squirting breast milk at her. WYMT-TV reported that a 31-year-old woman was arrested Thursday on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication. But as she was changing into an inmate uniform, she squirted breast milk into the face of a female deputy who was with her.

The woman now faces a felony charge of third degree assault on a police officer. Her bond was set at $10,000.

Drunk, lacating, and now in jail. Without her to provide the child with White Russians, there is little hope of a new Big Lebowski.

NYC chef creates breast milk cheese

The Associated Press Breast milk cheese, anyone? A Manhattan chef has posted a recipe on his blog for what he calls "My spouse's mommy milk cheese." Daniel Angerer co-owns Klee Brasserie with his wife Lori Mason. A photo on his blog features the cheese encrusted with maple caramelized pumpkin and Concord grapes. They had an overabundance of milk for their newborn, Arabella Caroline. When their small freezer ran out of space, Angerer decided to experiment.

Angerer said his cooking instincts tend toward things natural. But even he admits: "THIS is a whole other level of 'natural.'"

(although, when you think about it, they say that certain dietary choices can flavor breast milk, so theoretically you could engineer the cheese to match the wine or the dessert course...)

Woman delivers surprise baby, picks up other son

The Associated Press
A 32-year-old Kentucky woman who said she didn't know that she was pregnant delivered her newborn son on the floor of her laundry room by herself and even cut the umbilical cord. Kelly Bottom told The Advocate-Messenger that she also picked up her other son from school and stopped in at the baby's grandmother's house to show her the infant before going to the hospital Thursday.

The newspaper reported the mother and baby were discharged from the hospital Monday after checking in Thursday night.

Bottom said the baby, named Brian Keith Sims, weighed 6 lbs., 15 oz. at birth.

Them Kentucky women are TOUGH - deliver their own babies, pick the kids up AND run by Grandma's BEFORE they seek medical treatment. I'd like to see what she looks like, that she didn't suspect that she was expecting.

Oh, look, here she is...she's GUILTY!!!

Most women have nine months to prepare for the birth of a new baby. 32 year old Kelly Bottom says she had about nine seconds. Last Thursday afternoon, Bottom says she was doing laundry inside her Harrodsburg home when she felt like she needed to use the bathroom. Minutes later, according to Bottom, she squatted on the bathroom floor and gave birth to a 6 lb 15 oz. baby boy.

Bottom cut the baby's umbilical cord and cleaned him off before packing him into her car and driving to pick up her seven year old son from school."I knew there was no one else to pick him up from school and I couldn't have him waiting there by himself, so I just did it. I was bleeding real bad, but I did it. Looking back on it now, I don't know how I did it."

By 5:00 that evening, Bottom drover herself and the baby to the Danville hospital where doctors gave newborn Brian Keith Sims a full examination and said he appeared to be in perfect health.

Ronnie Sims, the baby's father arrived at the hospital to the news that he had a new son. "She's a trooper," Sims said of his longtime girlfriend. "I'm just thankful that they're both ok."
