SALT LAKE CITY -- The Humane Society of the United States has put up a $2,500 reward to help find the person who plucked out an injured golden eagle's tail feathers after it survived being hit by a car in Utah.
According to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, a car struck the golden eagle on Highway 50 near Salina on Feb. 27. After the crash, someone plucked out the bird's tail feathers with pliers, possibly causing permanent damage.
The eagle suffered additional bumps, cuts and bruises from the initial crash and is currently in the care of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation in Cedar City.
Workers at the wildlife center will try to rehabilitate the bird but say it's unclear if its tail feathers will grow back and whether it can be released to the wild.
The golden eagle is a protected species, and the person responsible for the attack could face up to a year in prison and fines of up to $100,000.
Anyone with any information should call the Division of Wildlife Resources poaching line at 1-800-662-3337.

This pisses me off more than I usually allow myself to become. Golden Eagles are magnificent creatures. To come upon one in need and cause further injury, then leave it to die... this prick needs to be removed from all association with living things.

Okay, I'm thinking pizza tonight (damned diet) reading about the 11 regional variations of pizza according to seriouseats.com, and thought "I wonder what my rgf internet friends think about pizza?". No really, that's how my mind works. So, because work is boring, I made a poll. A pizza poll.
As for me, I prefer home-made, whole-wheat thin crust (not cracker, but pretty crisp on the bottom). My go-to is always pepperoni, with some olives or mushrooms or whatever's on hand veggie-wise (pepper rings, jalapenos...) Sometimes we substitute alfredo sauce or cheddar sauce in place of red Italian sauce.
If I have to eat chain pizza, I like Pizza Hut thin crust, pepperoni and black olive. But I'll eat virtually any pizza...

RIOTS Version: Ok, so Raw-shmaw. the Dudes wana add a pay component to their podcast, are you for it or against it?
For those that can read:
I am for it, but not to hear F words and such; that's just a lame ass marketing gimmick idea dreamed up as schmaltz by somebody too dimwitted to know what the show really brings to us window lickers.
I HATE just having a 1 hour show...my commute is 1 hour one way, and I think Buzzy and Oscar get short shrift. Mike stomps on their D's every day with his A-D-D oriented bull-in-a-chinashop approach to the hour. The show ain't "tight"; it's manic...and it drives me nuts.
I would pay a premium price per year to get a podcast that brings back things dear to my heart, like:
my full Buzz
Oscar related bits of all kinds...the f'er is funny when he gets to talk
My BlackBerry
Presidential interviews
Unedited Belcher fodder (yes I can get it from his site too)
Audio Vault that didn't make the one-hour cut
a video podcast of the whole show every frickin day, even if it's just watchin' fatguys...they're my fatguys, dammit!
Delores the transvestite calls 900 numbers
...and many more!
